The ABUS 83AL/45 Titalium padlock is made from TITALIUM™ a special aluminium alloy that uniquely combines a high level of torsion and is approximately 30{38544f301edce6903a6b33ecb812c631e5b0302b70421f0b5ef1b4473cbb7fa7} lighter than the corresponding brass padlock with at least the same level of security.
There are many applications where reliable security is required but also weight is significant e.g. when travelling, in mobile situations or for securing goods in transit.
The ABUS 83/45 TITALIUM™ padlock series is an attractive alternative to the traditional brass padlock and is available in Blue, Green, Black, Orange, Red, Silver and Violet.

- 45 mm Titalium solid machined lock body.
- 8 mm shackle diameter, double ball locking.
- Wide range of shackle clearances available 19mm, 25mm (standard), 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm.
- Shackles available in nano-plated alloy steel for extreme corrosion resistance also available in stainless steel (except for 150mm) for ultimate corrosion resistance.
- ABUS Global Protection Standard Level 8 (security range 2 low – 10 high).
- The ABUS 83/45 Titalium Padlock incorporates the popular 570 6 pin style barrel with Silca LW4 keyway.
Choice of “Non-key Retaining” or “Key-Retaining”
Patented Z-Bar allows the padlock to be easily converted from “non-key retaining” to “key-retaining” and vice versa.
- “Non-key retaining” padlocks are the usual configuration where the key can be removed from an open padlock. The padlock can be locked by simply pushing the shackle in.
- “Key-retaining” padlocks retains the key until it is fully closed and is used for example in safety padlocks. The key is retained in the padlock until the shackle can be locked by pushing the shackle and turning the key.
